इस लाल किले की खूबसूरती कुछ दूरी पर स्थित ताजमहल के कारण और भी बढ़ जाती है। महल के शाही झरोखे से ताज महल का नजारा बेहद आलीशान और भव्य दिखाई देता है। इसकी खूबसूरती को निहारने के लिए लोग देश विदेश से आया करते हैं। शाही बुर्ज, रंग महल, नौबत खाना, नगीना मस्जिद, मुसम्मन बुर्ज, शीश महल, मछली भवन, खास महल, स्वर्ण मंडप, जहांगीर महल इत्यादि आगरा के लाल किले के अभिन्न अन्य भाग है।
भारत में जब मुगलों का अधिपत्य नहीं हुआ था, तब भी यहां कला और स्थापत्य के अचंभित कर देने वाले धरोहर मौजूद थे। कुछ इतिहासकारों का मानना है की आगरा का लाल किला मुगलों के आने से पहले ही स्थापित किया गया था।
